I voted no, it makes it easier for the map maker.

Problem with doing it as an orders group is that it has to be common to both sides. Kind of hard if you're stating opposing missions, right?
Otherwise, I'd wholeheartedly approve of it.

first interesting alternative so far imo, background images in a news service style giving an overview of the situation, "Russian peacekeeps moved in to Beirut today..."Northwest Fresh wrote:James Earl Jones or GTFO...

but it would be alot of work considering that its not a gameplay change

Yes that would be awsome

I would like at least some basic briefings. I think vanilla BF2 had them.

Re: Do you want Briefings on Maps?
What does this have to do with anything? You won't suddenly lose time because a little briefing gets added. It's going to be during the load screens, so you don't have to read them.LyfTaker wrote:I'd rather have an extra 2 minutes to get organized![]()

I vote yes, but if you play MAG on PS3, the briefings get a little old after a while, but they occur every 20 minutes or so.

I think briefings would be great. It would add atmosphere. Not too detailed, but a basic storyline could enhance the experience.

Re: Do you want Briefings on Maps?
A short briefing with some ambiguous tips about the map would be nice. One can only gather so much about the operation from red and blue arrows, and it makes me feel like I've been dropped in without a hint of an idea of what to do, other than run blindly towards the map markers and shoot at the occasional bogey.
Aside from that, a bit of backstory of what when and why would also add to the game in my opinion.

Re: Do you want Briefings on Maps?
Well since pretty much every server says you can't make a squad til 1:30? Yea you barely have time to organize unless you're with your mates and can talk about it the whole time you're even loading.ankyle62 wrote:3mins isnt enough for you?
Briefings would make the PR storyline more accessible to us. We'd be able to understand. Hell you could even have people dedicated to writing out a downloadable PDF with info on battles being fought for like... PRaganda.
