Hi
My suggestion is that BLUFOR on insurgency maps should be punished for shooting unarmed insurgent cars unless they pose a threat. This would make bomb cars more useful and would make it more realistic as the BLUFOR would not just be shooting everything they see.

So they will have to wait and if the car is suspicious as a bombcar open up at the last moment?

yea pretty much. if they shoot it and destroy it and its not a bomb car they will get a punishment similar to if they killed a civilian

How does the game engine define when a car poses a threat, in terms of penalties.
Cars can still be used as weapons, as in driving over players or ramming other vehicles. Unless the car driver gets a penalty for doing so I don’t think this will work.

maybe if someone in the car has shot or used a weapon in the last minute or so or if the car gets within x metres of BLUFOR it can be destroyed without punishment?
