Civi suggestion: more than one type

Post by killonsight95 »

i already have suggested this slightly on this thread:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f18-pr ... cle-4.html

When you go civi in insurgency there is only one type, your average guy with stones and medic n ropes. My suggestion is to make more than one type of civi kit, this is because that kit is over used and doesn't use any tactics really, and this doesn't encourage teamwork. i suggest 3 different types to start with:
1. the builder/repair kit(maybe remove the shovel from most of the insurgents):
layout:
- hands up/unarmed
- shovel
- stone
- wrench(can repair techies and remove mines)
- rope
- N/A
- phone
- Smoke(x1) (possibly for cover)
- N/A

Any suggestions for the above kit would be nice and will be added onto the list if its a good suggestion^

2. the medic kit:
layout:
- hands up/unarmed
- resusitate
- stone
- medic bag
- rope
- epepin (or however its spelt)
- phone
- smoke (x3)
- medic patches (x5)

3.
interseptor/annoyance machine:
layout:
- hands up/unarmed
- stone
- grenades (x2)
- grenade traps (ammo linked to above^)
- rope
- IED + detonator phone(not sure if one or two would be best here, also if it should be a smaller explosion)
- phone
- rubbish (used to hide IED's or maybe it could be used like a stone to throw at the enemy and make their screen go black for a couple of secs)
- medic patches (x1)

i know the 3rd one sound like a sapper kit but if he/she gets the IED out it'll be the same as using the medic bag same with the grenades and give a 30-60 second time before they're out of the ROE.but still needs some mroe thought into it maybe removing the grenades and replace with some another thing liek maybe the ability to put up road block and such.

interesting, I like the idea of a repair class since INS don't get logi trucks afaik.

the rubbish is an interesting idea also and would make the kit more useful than it already is.

It is true, most insurgents that detonate IEDs detonate them and return into the civilian population. Leaving the coalition people dumb-founded. But usually, there's a armed insurgent ambush happens after that.

I like this suggestion.

I believe that the repair station is still one of the better options. I don't like the idea of a bunch of unarmed civilians 'fine tuning' a gunning machine while we are killing it.

Maybe if these kits were limited pickups then I could be more behind this. As of now I think that the collaborator should only focus on healing, reviving, distracting, and observing.

Yes, I believe this would only work if it was a limited pickup kit, for it would be the bloody same as any insurgent. The ONLY advantage would be that you don't have to change kits to put an IED or under ROE protection.
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

Arming Civilians means they are no longer civilians.
