Another pilot survival suggestion!
As you all know it was discussed really much about pilot being armed and so on but it didnt get approved because of para drop missions, then how about giving the pilot 2 or 3 field dressings to increase his chance of survival and to increase rescue missions, and/or maybe give him ability to somehow surpress someone by boxing or throwing stones to him and make the victim unavailavable to shoot for the next 20 or 30 seconds so the pilot will runaway and maybe he will be limited to 2 or 3 surpressions? If possible XD

Giving the pilot kit more dressings would make it the kit to request when your hurt & near a crate.
But, honestly if the pilot can't make it home with only 1 dressing, he won't make it home with 3.
The only time i could see the extra dressings helping out is when the pilot deploys his parachute too low, which isn't something we should be catering to, pilots should be following standard procedures (flying high enough) to avoid that.

Only thing I want done to the pilot kit is a ROE penalty similar to the civilian. You should have to capture the pilot(knife) and the pilots team would receive a ticket penalty. However if you kill the pilot and do not capture him, the killers team receives the penalty.

Maybe for conventional warfare, but I highly doubt the Taliban or Insurgent leadership punishes their troops for murdering downed pilots.-Prowler- wrote:Only thing I want done to the pilot kit is a ROA penalty similar to the civilian. Hell, I wouldn't doubt that even conventional warfare would hinder this. I mean if he might escape then I'd order him shot dead than arrested.badmojo420 wrote:Maybe for conventional warfare, but I highly doubt the Taliban or Insurgent leadership punishes their troops for murdering downed pilots.

No point in ROE, they don't have civilian status, they're actively helping the war effort. If I find downed pilots they get executed.

IMO, the Super Hornet in BHL should've never gotten shot down, if they were following proper protocol, they would've never gone into the DMZ, rather flying below 10k to do photo recon.Foxxy wrote:Stackhouse seemed like a cool character ,sadthat a Serb in a Addidas track suit had to shoot him.

PR needs some Croatian-Serbian conflict. But back to the topic, why not just give them a knife?

Because I am notoriously lazy. So.....whats the general consensus? This thread has gone a bit off-topic.[R-DEV]CodeRedFox wrote:Why not do a search![]()

You know I actually really agree with this. Could add another really interesting aspect to PR that would be fun and better than the role playing stuff or disregard for roleplaying and just shot when seen.-Prowler- wrote:Only thing I want done to the pilot kit is a ROE penalty similar to the civilian. Maybe something like 5 ticket loss if the pilot is captured, and messages that come up similar to civilian ROE? And a penality to make it more realistic as to not switch kits or suicide and this could apply to crewman as well for downed vehicles, you enter your main base you gain 5 tickets back, and loose 5 for suicide. Except no ticket penality for shooting crewman as they are armed. This would encourage less "oh frick it I suicide not worth going back to main" which really bugs me and would add a lot more intensity to playing those kits.

While I agree with you, I'll say it again, pilots are not civilians by any means. If they were still up in the sky I bet they would be trying to kill you. I like the ticket idea, but as far as ROE is concerned, I shoot pilots. Target practice.
Also, how would you go about capturing a pilot? Do you just kill them, or are all the kits going to have a magic capturing punch?

By the Geneva convention if a soldier is unavailavable to fight, shouldn't be killed and we don't discuss about the movie and yes PR needs some Serbo-Croatian conflict but I highly doubt it will happen as the DEVs have a lot to do.

How about, if enemy knifes the pilot, you loose 5-10 tickets (and they gain 5-10 tickets , or nothing), if they shoot the pilot, it counts as a normal kill.-Prowler- wrote:Only thing I want done to the pilot kit is a ROE penalty similar to the civilian.
