My BF2 name used to be 345n45kjnkndknfdsfdf, this is when i first got BF2.

Often just called "Three Four Five" "Bunch of numbers and letters" "The guy with the F*cked up name"

I choose Jamaican as i wanted an easy name for sqd members to call. Now sometimes wish i choose a mad unrememberable name. Atleast one not associated with an accent.

I've considered changing my screenname, people usually call me "Haji". It can be a little misleading when everyone else in your squad says Haji every time they see an insurgent.

I think a big part of this is also the fact that players are fantastic at mispronouncing even the simplest names
take mine for instance
H.sta or Sta... instead of saying Sta, they spell it out, S-T-A, and some even manage to call me "Haste"

I get "Dackery", "Dackerah", "Dack", "Dockery" "Dickery", even though its so much simpler just to say "Tom".

Well, if you're playing with Americans or Brits, the reality is that "Sta" is a word fragment, so it doesn't make much sense to pronounce it as a syllable. I often see some essentially unpronounceable in English names, and I generally just ask the person what they want to be called when I get in the squad. Seems to work just fine.H.sta wrote:I think a big part of this is also the fact that players are fantastic at mispronouncing even the simplest names

The whole "Oh neeein, there is eine snipaaar" is from a guy in NATO PRT, C6 training for Ejod Desert.
His name was Ninja or smt.
And with the whole name, we should all go chinese and go " YO AND YO GO THERE!"

Re: Enemy behind you J4cc9ayu11!!!
I had Ta77a in my squad the other day, was calling him tatta since I'm not quite up with the 'leet' speak but I was under the impression that sevens became Ts... apparently they were supposed to be Zs but my retort was "They don't have any bottom part... they look more like backwards r's to me, from now on you're tarra" and from then on he was TarraPariel wrote: I often see some essentially unpronounceable in English names, and I generally just ask the person what they want to be called when I get in the squad. Old 009783232 is one of my favourites, he got some interesting nicknames over the years
Edit: I just noticed... Tarra, numbers 1 & 2 are all from Perth... must be something they put in the water here, isn't that right pmdw1234?

I usually end up calling people 'Mister AutoRifleman' or 'Mister Medic'... 'Mr Hat' is my favourite.

<-- This is exactly why I changed my ingame name to AdderEye or RocketOuthouse. It was meant to be phonetic and be a name that gives people a "ah-ha!" moment when they figure it out, but it was difficult for people who read too literally or speak English as a second language.
