This belongs in the bugss section
Also you cant reload if you just reloded and havent fired since and when you spawn and havent fired a single round.

The first part in the OP I couldn't understand... You mean you get a buck where you can't fire at all? I never got it, but perhaps it could be ping? High pings do crazy stuff, you know.
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

He is saying that when he is playing as a squad leader, he'll have people in his squad telling him that he is firing his rifle. When, on his screen, he is not. If he tries to reload, it does nothing.

I've never had this happen myself, but I rarely go squad leader.

It's just a sound bug, I think if you shoot while the bug is going off, it ends the bug and the gun sound isn't going off...I've had it happen in vanilla BF2

Often times this happens when you swap from your rifle to another weapon. I've seen it most frequently when someone swaps for the grappling hook.

If they use that weapon, everyone else will see and hear the rifle being fired. It's interesting to see him "fire" his weapon and then immediately projectile vomit a grappling hook.

Switching between weapons ends up fixing this. I believe it's just a BF2 bug.

Its even funnier when an M16 fires a HAT missile ;-)

Its annoying, often it can cause arguments over 'who misfired', but its not as important as other things which need to be fixed.
