Hi all!
I am having no luck getting PR to run on my steam copy of BF2 since V0.91.
Does anyone have a successful set of steps to follow to get it to work?
I have tried AutoHotKey to run the game - everything I try results in vanilla BF2 running, and not the mod.
I am just about to re-install everything to see if that helps.

Have you tried to run pr.exe, which is the offical way to start PR? And to keep PunkBuster from kicking you off servers, disable Steam Community from Steam main settings. Other than those, I'm not aware of any other requirement for running PR with Steamed BF2.limb-from-limb wrote:Hi all!

And finally, you have to start regular BF2 once and retrieve or create the account you are going to use with PR before actually trying to start PR. This applies to all versions.

Re: Running PR 0.91 with Steam copy of BF2
Running PR.EXE just loads vanilla BF2. I have disabled the Steam overlay too. And, my account has been played on before, so no trouble logging in.
However...!!
I tried running the AutoHotkey script, then choosing custom game (PR) under the community tab in BF2 which causes BF2 to restart, and then PR works...
very strange, but it is the only way I can get it to work!
