Goddamnit Wicca, don't spread lies about stuff you know nothing aboutWicca wrote:The whole "Oh neeein, there is eine snipaaar" is from a guy in NATO PRT, C6 training for Ejod Desert.
His name was Ninja or smt.
It started when I was playing with Ninja, theprinceofparkour and noobofthenight (might have been some more people there) on Sunset city. It was in 0.7 I believe.
Anyway, we were walking down the lower suburbs, and ninja suddenly got shot by a sniper, after which he shouted: "Schneeipaaaaahhh!!!", which made us all fall of our chairs laughing.
And then the story soon changed to Ninja saying: "Oh nein, there is ein schneipaahh!"
Which evolved to, as AnimalMother said: "Oh Johan, there is ein schneeippah"
My real name being Johan.
So now you know where the legend started, aah good times.

I haven't yet met a guy who has pronounced my name correctly (except finns). Whenever i play on pubs i get called by my tags and if i don't have tags most people just call me H or then give me new name after horribly failing to pronounce my name.
And people also spell it incorrectly always. Its either hietta, heitaa, etc.

You should always keep it simple. Thats why I always use Kex or Kiwi, or sometimes Kinapuffar, and I admit that one is probably difficult to say for non-scandinavians but for those of us who are, you now know my favourite candy.
But l33t speak names can be good too! They let you know who you're not supposed to play with.

When I'm a SL, I try to find a part of complex names that makes sense and I can use.

Brummy laughing was started by me taking the piss out of brummy always whispering, so when he laughed, it sounded ridiculous. Unfortunately, now Brummy and Smeg now do it in real life!Animal.Mother wrote:ah good to know!

Maybe i should make one called Hafnarfjörður
Neither would be as badass as Drangajokull... and I'm actually pretty damn sure that I saw a Hekla when I was playing BF2 after release.

Re: Enemy behind you J4cc9ayu11!!!
By far the HARDEST name of a player was summin' like Kukulukuluuruu. Took me about two months of playing to pronounce it.
Im really pleased that I chose mongol. Its short, not hard to read, pronounce, fairly memorable and is often associated with a little humour from the south park series.
Even with the British accent, I still get the odd "Hey Mongol, are you, like, actually from Mongolia? I didn't know they even had internet in Mongolia!"
...
"Yes, old bean. 'Tis rather a hassle this whole internet business, being from the inhospitable barons of the Mongolian deserts. One has to rout ones internet through an oil pipe-line, most obsequiously might I add, through the Federation of Russia, and up out of a well into my dearest and quaint, little settlement of Ulan Bator. Quite the hassle, I do say old boy, Hah-rah-rah-rah!
