Great work Sniper. Now... what would happen if a helo or jet just happened to run into the mortar's flight path? o.O

Haha, hilarity might ensue afterwards. :P

The current in-game (off-map) mortars that are on small map layers have damage directly representative of an 81mm HE round so use them :-)

Can you adjust the minimum/maximum ranges at all? I'd say 80m - 2000m +
Both can be done. The redoing the range will be a little bit more difficult but I've already redone the whole process multiple times now so I'm getting good at it. Although I might be a little worried about baserape (I can think of a few ways that could be fixed though)

Thanks for the encouragement Jaymz and everyone :)

Yeah, baserape could be a problem, but doesn't the carrier protection thing work for land, or does it not? idk, its a thought.

You mean the invisible wall-shield-thing of ninja protection? :p

Same here. softening up a cache or cap zone before an all out team rush. The Commander is going to become much more vital here to relay info for when the mortars are firing, destroying old pits, etc. I can't wait.

Great job bud! I'm glad we're already thinking about how this could be abused by setting limits on it (deviation, max distance, etc.) because we all know someone will spam it if it's spammable (like the TOW emplacements are currently).

Once again, great job!

would it be possible to make the shield 2 way? Meaning that the ppl inside the shield cant fire rounds throught it?

Since its going to be a "Deployable" mortar its going to deploy on FBs or its not going to requare a FBs to deploy, or its going to be hand held like a real one?

Never the less good job mate! This is one step closer to player controled artillery 8)

would certainly be a good addition to the INS team :)
