Ride of the Valkyries

I don't know how many times this has been requested...but I BEG YOU!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put Ride of the Valkyries in on Hueys as a song (i.e press x/c and that song plays really loud so you can hear it from miles away, as that would just be the single coolest thing on the face of the Earth.

I know there might be copyright issues but get in touch with the people who own it, or get that guy that makes PR's awesome songs to an orchestra to make it.

Okay, 1st of all,you got here,make a re-re-re-ressugestion about something that would just be cool,but it doesnt really add anything aside from that,then you start swearing and showing a bad attitude because someone ask an obvious question.

not a good start...

2nd of all,to get a sound dev to get a whole orchestra to get a piece of music ingame for you really isnt gonna happen,unless you would pay and organize it all,and contacting the composer, Wilhelm Richard Wagner,who died 1883 isnt gonna work either,if u liek his music so much you prolyl would ahve realized that

He doesn't like his music he just likes one piece of music that was glorified by the use of ride of the Valkyries in the film Apocalypse now(AN) which is a fictional film (iirc) and it now springs to the minds of everyone who has seen that film when u mention Vietnam

It would be nice to implement, in EOD the Transport heuy (Slick) the pilot could hold right click down and it would play ride of the Valkyries, only the important AN part

I talked to a veteran (he was even a pilot) about the war in general, but I also asked if anything like blaring music from helicopters ever happend in vietnam. Obviously he couldnt tell me about the war as a whole, but during his tour he said he'd never seen/heard of/been apart of anything like that and if it did happen it would just be telling the enemy where you where. Thats exactly how it would happen in-game, we lose squad loads of guys because some pilot thinks its cool to play the music over and over in the air all the way up until land fall.

In the film (not real) they took that into account, when they heard the music the readied up, I guess its pure common sense that stopped them from doing that In the VTO, this is one of those things that would be nice to have, and tbh in PRV you going to know when a heuy is gonna come in because your going to anticipate and hear the rotors too the heuy could be heard 1 mile away due to the Huge rotor blades much like the Chinook so music probably wouldn't give the chopper away as much as the rotors would.

Just a suggestion but you could play it while you fly instead. With a cd player or tape recorder.

Im kinda opposed to stuff like this tough,im a decent wagner fan and i can enjoy classical music,but since its unrealistic and will be used by everyone because they have seen it in a movie it will get old and annoying very fast.

maybe a poll about adding or not adding music to choppers would be handy?

1) Give it to the CO-Pilot so as not to distract the pilot
2) Add it, people will tire of it eventually, the point of keeping hidden is probably negated by the rotor blades anyway.

I know about copyright and everything...but imagine if there was like a radio for the co-pilot and new songs would always be available from that era. A different tune for every attack lol. Ye though, I think I'll stick to bad quality mumble.

Being able to have more of a variation on music would be sweet. That would be nice to play in the hueys or maybe do what they did in BF:V where you could play your own music in vehicles.
