PR Mumble Help

Post by h0tthings »

okay i downloaded PR mumble on the fourms in the gerneral talk area thing and when i start to install it says

Error opening file for writing:
C;/program Files/Mumble(PR Edition)/QtCore4.dll

Click Abort to stop the installaion,
Retry to try again, or
Ignore to skip this file

then when i press ignore

the same thing pops up but instead of QtCore4.dl is says QtGui4.dll

and if i keep clicking it different files pop up every time

then it would install a little bit more and do the same thing again

i tried the offical mumble and it went wrong in a diffrent way

Let me guess: you have UAC off and you tried to run the installer without admin rights? ;)

UAC is the best security feature in the history of Windows since Windows NT. Never ever disable UAC. When it's enabled, your account does not have administrative rights untill UAC prompts you. It makes your account virtually immune to vulnerabilitity exploits that aim to hijack your computer, because vital system files cannot be overwritten without user's permission.
