Add Cows to Iron Ridge insurgency
I am in the middle of one of the longer games I have played in a while, mostly due to the map being huge and the Russians not having an "easy" way to get around. Not only would they be good for moving troops but also making rooftop landings for caches in the city. I think that would make searching building after building more tolerable.

i dont think the map is sutibale for choppers yoo many trees and citys can be cramped at times specilly since the heli is so big

Hes not talking about choppers he's obviously talking about cows since otherwise he would have said he wanted a Mi-8 or something on the map, no?

So you want better transport for the Russians via cows? I second this. Although I'm not so sure about the whole "rooftop landings" bit.

I'd love some skycows on this map, the lack of suitable landing zones means that it isn't that overpowered since the chechens are very well armed and thus would be able to set up ambushes at the few places a chopper could land. And while it's quite a big helicopter, it isn't as rediculously huge as you would believe and not as much as a problem since it's very manouvrable and can descend and climb while staying at a managable speed.

adding a mi8 would be nice. but this map is still well balanced. so there is no need to change.

MOOOO
That good enough for ya?
Iron Ridge is a fairly challenging map, but I don't really think helos would be all that great an asset. Probably they would mostly get crashed into trees/buildings, without offering any real benefits over the ground vehicles.

I don't think the maps need any choppers, mainly because of it's size and the landing possibilities.
With that said though, I find the mere thought of a Hind flying along the river fapalicious.

yea that map is boring and super hard for russians, deffinately need a skycow on it,,, and as for not a lot of suitable landing zones,, i think some fastropes would take care of that

Re: Add Cows to Iron Ridge insurgency
I like the map like it is now but it drags on FOREVER if you don't have a highly coordinated team. The other day my clan managed to win on Russians after a pultry 3 hours mostly due to having a commander who watched the UAV. It was really fast paced with caches spawning one after the other on the right side of the river but after shifted to the other city it took almost an hour to establish a good foothold over there.
With Mi-8s you could have cleared the area and then lifted troops back to main for rearm and wait on intel or straight to the other side of the map.
As far as landing sites go I think that would be part of the balancing since there are only a few clearings on the map suitable for landing. City landings are no problem, while I don't personally fly I know there are guys in my clan that would have no problem swooping into streets and doing pickups/dropoffs.

it doesnt take much longer to drive from one side of the map to the other, especially with the limiteds safe LZs.
