PR crashing to desktop/Fixed!

Evening...

I am aware that there is ton of posts about this, but i have been looking around for long now, actually for months, as i have tried to solve this problem on my own several times. But sadly i havnt had any luck Incase you remember seeing the exact same problem in another thread, i would love if you could give me a link to it! But sins i can't seem to find a post that can fix my problem, i decided to finally post my own post, and from there hopefully make it work.

But here is the problem... When i start the game, it tries to start up, the screen goes black(Like when it starts), but then i end up on the desktop.
I have tried to run it i windowed mode, but for some reason i dont get any error message.
Earlyer when i tried to solve this problem, i always had the pr.exe not working error, but this time i dont get any error.
I have tried so many things that is written on the forum. And i have re-installed the game atleast 10 times correctly now, so i doubt thats the problem.
Though i have noted, that every time, after i have launched PR and failed, BF2 wont launch either, with the exact same problem. I remember trying to run BF2 first once where i re-installed it all, and bf2 worked, but after i installed pr and tried to run it, bf2 wouldn't work.
When i try to start PR, it comes up with the small "PR launch screen" and then it switches over to the small "BF2 Launch screen", added that incase that would explain anything.

It's a new computer, and can definetly run the game without problems, so i doubt its my system.

I have the game runing on my laptop just fine, but im tired of playing on it, as i lagg badly in the game: /...

When it comes to things like thise, i gotta say, im a noob at computers, cause i can obviousy not make it work So i really need some help! And im not a genius with computer in other scenarios so please try and write it so anyone could understand .

In case my spec is vey needed here it is:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Extreme CPU x9650 @ 3.00 GHz (i was told that my cpu is tuned, so i suppose it got even more GHz)
Nvidia 260 gtx x2
8 mb ddr3 ram
Win 7
I have 16 or 18 m/bit internet, can't remember exactly.

Edit: I had problems with graphic in Arma 2 because i had 8 mb ram, though i was able to fix it. I dont know if that effects PR though, and its only in arma 2 i had problems with that, but i just thouth it would be a good idea to mention it, in case it could be a problem.

Try running as administrator and if that doesn't work turn off your firewall then try.

That didn't fix it: / still wont run, and i am still not getting any error message.

Okey i fixed it, after having tried for about 4 months... and it had to be a very simple error to>.<

The problem was my patch 1.41 aparently didn't work correctly, even though it said it was installed correct after runing it. But i re-downloaded the patch as it was the only thing i havent tried, and now it works !

But thanks for the help anyway! If anyone else have the same problem, try to re-download the 1.41 patch, maybe thats the problem.
