I believe the kit is destroyed, and it is immediately requestable again.bloodcry223 wrote:Hey,
I've been wondering for a while: What happens if you lose your sniper/HAT kit in the sea?
It is impossible to retrive it since you cannot dive in BF, so what happens to the kit then? .
Thank you.

i think it sinks to the botom of the sea, and you have to wait for 5 minutes till you can request it again
i saw kits in the sea close to the shore in about 3-4 meters deep, not sure about the midle of the sea though

Summed up.
It sinks to the bottom of the sea.
5 minutes after you loose it, it destroys itself and becomes requestable again.
That's in a nutshell.

Re: A small question
I thought there was a delay between kit disappearance and kit requestability?

You can't get it back, but you just have to wait the 5 minute period to get it back like everyone else is saying.

So don't swap kits while swimming....unless you're trying to get rid of that HAT kit on an insurgency map.

I could've sworn kits floated wherever they were dropped.

Re: A small question
When a kit is dropped in deep water it will sink to the bottom and sit there for five minutes (just like on land). Then it will be another about 5 minutes before you can request it again. So there is about a 10 minute wait before you can get your kit back.
It is the same as when a kit is dropped on land and no one picks it up.

Re: A small question
What is considered deep water? Is that anyplace where the swimming animations come up? (Some of the streams don't look so deep but still require some amount of swimming. Are kits retrievable from these? If it's not sure, I'll test it out later and report back.)[R-DEV]crazy11 wrote:When a kit is dropped in deep water it will sink to the bottom and sit there for five minutes (just like on land). Edit: I just tried retrieving kits in the rivers on Barracuda and Assad Khal. I could retrieve kits when I was swimming if I could see the textures in the bottom of the river. I could also retrieve them if it was right next to such an area (but I could not see the bottom). If the area was a little separate from where I could see the bottom, I COULD NOT retrieve the kits, not even by jumping into the water and trying to grab them while I was under. (If you're TRYING to get rid of a kit, make sure to take it out into a deeper area.)
