Unfortunately we've had to bump this event to Sunday, June 13th, 2010. So as not to conflict with other event nights planned, it will start 1530 Eastern Standard Time.

that means 2 and a half hour after the [NEW] Insugency-Map Event.

after we pushed the bluefor out of afgahnistan, it's time for conquering the airfield on wake :)

Yes, I intentionally spaced ours as far as I reasonably could from yours while still giving Europeans a chance to play Wake. I'll probably be at yours if I get the chance, that map looks amazing :D

Starts in two hours and twenty minutes! See you all there!

Server will be clearly marked as "Phoenix Wake Mumble Event" and the password will be released in The Phoenix Project's mumble channel half an hour prior to game start.

Make sure you copy the Wake Atoll folder and not the wake_px08 folder in order to play.

Yeah, sorry that caused some confusion. I thought the "instructions" text file would speak for itself :P

Just a reminder -- password is available in Mumble now. We will restart the maplist when enough people have arrived to play.

This is one of the better maps, its going into my top 3 collection. No major glitchesor bugs seen so far. Colouring is great, new statics even better. There is some issues on the crossrosroad because different road styles overlap and it looks weird.

Another thing is the guys have kindof dark blueish-greeny textures (is this that groundhemi file?) wich i dont know if its intentional or not.

Also the vehicle layout for both teams could get an improvement.

And thats pretty much it, gameplay on it is great tough there could be boats for PLA.

Event was a major success. We will run the map on our next event as well, with some GPO updates, bugfixes, and .. I'll add ladders >.>

Overall though, on the subject of the GPO, the Hydra Hueys vs. the Z10 was not too bad. It does need tweaking a little -- for example, the Z10 should only spawn, if the Chinese have both the PAA Hotel and Oil Storage and shouldn't spawn right at round start. There are no boats for a reason, actually -- it just wouldn't fit with the map.

Thank you to everyone who came, it was great fun and some good teamwork all around. We'll probably be doing this next week as well (although slightly different) and if anyone has any good maps they would like to submit to the Phoenix Map Pack for beta testing, feel free to contact me.

I really enjoyed that map, good design, good asset distribution, looks nice.

I didn't notice anything, and the fact it played well @ 40 is a good sign.

Lovely Sunday night wind down event cheers.
