It was a round on kashan, we had to clear the South bunkers of MEC Infantry, so we decided to get some Tank support within the bunkers, so we and the Tank drove to the most south bunker where the mec's had digged in with TOW and so on... the tank drove around the bunker because he didn't want to get killed by TOW... our squadleader told us to drop smoke, get into the bunker, kill the TOW gunner and then the tank will come in and kill everything not american he can see... so in this moment I took my smoke grenade and suddenly I noticed that the tank fired his smokes to give us a smoke curtain, so we moved into the bunkers, killed that tow then I only could hear a tank moving into the bunker and BOOOOOM every Mec guy was dead by then > :D

Best teamwork ever.
Unfortunately I forgot to capture a video

on Operation Ghost Train, it was the first week we'd ever had alot of people on mumble iirc, myself, gazzthompson and frostmcownage were SLing on the british side, all three squads attacked the south, and just steamrolled every attempt at resistance, I remember we had a quick squad leader meeting on mumble basically said "you come in from south, I'll come in from east and frost is the reserve" or whatever it was.

even got some bayonet kills in :P

It was on Asad Khal, we're playing as the IDF. Our squad, led by [OD-S] Pirate, rushed mansion and built a FOB from the eastern side of it. You can imagine how much fire we had to sustain. Only thing I kept doing is shooting grenade launcher at the mansion, racked up a total of 10 or so kills. By the time we were getting overrun - 2 full friendly squads approached from the West, pushing the HAMAS out of the mansion, thus becoming victorious.

Yeah.. Not much of a story. I usually do CAS or anything related to something more specialised other than inf.

Myself and PaintScratcher killed a cache full of insurgents without any reinforcements from our team and without firing a shot.

Easily the best was on Beirut, mechanized when we completely capped out the IDF giving them no chance at taking back the flags. Our squads constantly leap-frogged eviscerating any opposition. Funnest round I've played in a long time and my favorite map.

Image

2nd best:

SEagle, 64p, my squad had just dropped into missile silo literally a keypad away from a BTR. We jumped out, hid, and my HAT (Avarice302) pounded him, allowing us to cap the flag and build a fob.. We obliterated two squads and an enemy firebase which was just behind our one, and killed two more BTR-80's until a T90 rocked up. We smoked him out, until the gunner decided 'hurp derp, jump out and shoot infantry', leaving the driver sitting there who also jumped out and we smoked him.

The aftermath.

One beautiful day in Basrah INS whole brtisih team (about 25 players) excecuted an attack to west village. Two IFV's and one tank took part + 3 full inf squads. Village was fucked up. IFV's destroyed all cover and my squad ENG INF flanked from the east. My squad counted about 10 kills and whole Insurgent casualities were about 50 in the battle. At least two civilians were killed.

Attack did show that Blufor has outrageous firepower and when needed, every player is capable in teamwork.

Damn, i should've taken pic's out of that

Gaza Beach.

I was driving Tank2, fuzzhead was leading the squad+driving Tank1, DBZAO was leading mech infantry =P

We went right into the city with infantry as they took out caches and provided medium range fire to clear out buildings before infrantry advanced. We moved in a convoy of 2 tanks at the supply M113, the M113 being in the middle. At one point the M113 got hit and tracked as we were just starting to move out, I wanted to leave it and keep moving but fuzzhead ordered a full halt and we took defensive positions as the M113 repaired.

Went the whole round w/o losing the tanks until the last 40 seconds...bomb car took us both out. My most fun PR round so far me thinks =P

"Pointe du Mestia" , the first squad that I lead the whole battle long. We as Russians were trying to get West-Objective. After a long weakening fight in ditches alongside the road, we managed to get into the forest. Near a hill-ridge with bunkers on top of it. We got like 3 specialists in our squad, so I made a plan to run from the treeline to the feet of the "cliff", and then we should throw the hookes on top of the bunkers. We had one squad covering us, we were climbing on the ropes when they started throwing nades down the rope.

When we got on top of the bunkers we managed to capture one of the bunkers. We setted up a perimeter, and started to defend it. The Cechens did one desperate attack to get us of the hill, but we managed to hold our ground. The squad that was covering us during the climb already started one part of the following pinser movement, my squad did the 2nd part. We did a glorious knife raid on the objective. But the enemy was gone.

A great battle on a great map, back in the old v0.87 days.

I was playing insurgent on karbala, I had a fully organised squad with everyone actually putting in effort to teamwork (very rare to find as an insurgent), my friends where at the north west of main city atop buildings where a cache was (unlimited ammo) supressing US troops trying to infiltrate north west village, I however was detached being placed at the top of hotel at centre of karbala with a strela (70's soviet MANPAD) for the squad's request, i got 2 little birds down, then got bored so picked a sapper kit, re-joined my squad which by now have destroyed a stryker, and 2 humvees, then we set up a trap with an IED anticipating troops to come investigate this area for the cache we used, downed supply convoy, watched their troops dismount to only be burned with moltovs  .

the massacre insued after we took their kits, we started setting up tactical ambushes and achieve great profficiency with the SAWs and the acog AR-15s we aquired

Good times......Good times.

so far my best attack was on a round of yamalia some time ago..

our squadleader left and i was left as a squadleader, at this point i didn't do much squadleading nor have done much. but i thought "what the heck" and decided to go with it anyway.

our team had lost our objective with a tough time taking it back. it was the objective in middle of the map to the east, obj november? the obj with a horisontal hill W-E with some cannons and a tower. we were stationed a bit west from the flag near one of yamalias big fields.

i decided to simply flank from the cause half of our team was too busy dying from the south. a simple yet effective command, long story short, we secured the flag.

EDIT shouldn't this be in Tales From the Front?

For me, it must have been back in .75, Kashan Desert. It was quite a long time ago, so I don't remember all the specific details, but I do recall that I have never sweat as heavy as that in any other video game ever. My squad was pushing towards South Bunkers, and it seemed like the whole enemy team was raining down on us.

I was playing as a medic, and despite seeing an allied squad go down only 50m from my position, I stuck like glue to my squad lead, as ordered. Rounds were flying everywhere, with tracers zipping over my heads and CAS from both teams wrecking havoc to the infantry who were all fighting for control.

My squad lead ordered us to expend all of our smokes (except for me, who reserved them for revives) as we prepped for our final assault on South Bunker. Re all readied ourselves, and our squad lead gave us final orders before our charge; "No matter what happens, do not stop running until you are at that bunker". And so, following commands, we all started charging, some of us screaming bloody murder over VoIP. Boom, two of my squad mates go down, surely by a SAW or a coaxial (I didn't stop to look). Tracers kept zipping past the smoke, and once we cleared the smoke and entered the home stretch, my squad leader took one to the chest.

Disobeying orders, I immanently used the paddles on him (it was paddles back then iirc), patched him up, and laid there in the trench, grenades detonating just a few meters short of the trench we were in. "You're a ****ing champion, medic! A f***ing champion!" These words made me grin as me and my SL continued our advance, knifing a SAW gunner who had trained his sights on my squad. Having reached the bunker, only me and my SL were actually present, with 3 of my squad dead and the others having split off into cover (disobeying orders, but I don't blame them). By the time we had cleared that bunker, I had to take a break, my heart was practically beating out of its chest.

Today I had a very good attack, it was Muttrah City. We got eyes on a possible FOB from the MEC. When we got there my mate started to search for the exact spot and I covered him from a high rooftop. I saw a whole squad running out a garden, my mate told to shoot them. I followed his instructions and fire some deadly 5.56MM round at them. I killed them with only one mag. Then hell broke lose between 2 squads and only me. I fired 4 mags at the enemy in one minute, they were all killed, but their reinforcements tried to flank me, I noticed that in time, so I wounded them forcing them to retreat. I pulled out a smoke screen ( I was medic so I was possible to survive more shots, and lay down bigger smokescreens), which gave me the possibility to retreat. I managed my way to a nearby alleyway, where I took out a deserting soldier camping in a corner. I took his ammo bag, and asked for reinforcements. They came, it was a cobra that let it rain from hell. But when I wanted to get back to the front, I got killed by a officer, he fired a whole pistol round in me.

Result: Around 22 Kills, a total of 7 magazined emptied on the enemy, one enemy FOB down, one squadmate killed, and me too.

haha, that's when you KNOW it's been a good attack :-D

my best was on Silent Eagle, at that hill on the right flank, with the destroyed bunkers/pillboxes. there was a squad or two of Russians up there arsing around. Kossolax (my flatmate) was SLing, we had another squad with us. was a textbook assault. no bayonet kills though :-|

then when the pesky russians tried to take it back, later using a tank, it was the best firefight i've ever been in. particularly when the TOW humvee rolled up and took out the tank

good times had by all

That's easy..
I was on Muttrah city, 4 players on INF Voip squad, we were building our fob behind repair station being MEC, I can't remember how did we get the crates.
There were like 3 squads over there. I told my sq to throw grenades at the same time, we killed like 7 of them, then they saw us all and we got on our fob. Our kits was: Marksman, Sniper, Rifleman and Grenadier. We owned them all, killing them one per one, it was fast and deadly.
