Re: Faction feedback
the FN FAL rifle is aparently powerful enough to shoot straight through tree trunks the shortened name for it i beleve is the R1 (father was in the SA army 1977-7
also the soldeirs would carry upto 10 magazines of 30 rounds on standered patrol so i hope we get dis thing right

Re: Faction feedback
R1 was the variant of the FAL produced in South Africa, I'm pretty sure that the SADF issued 20 round magazines in most cases (As SADF '70 pattern webbing magazine pouches were designed specifically for 20 round magazines. Slightly insanely, the full '70 pattern kit with back pack actually had pouches for 18 magazines!), though they did aquire some FN FALOs, the SAW variation which did use the 30 round mags.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Re: Faction feedback
Reviving this thread as I suppose it is the most appropriate place to put this.
I noticed on the design plan that the ARF rifleman only appears once, with the primary weapon as an FN-FAL. Will an additional rifleman (warrior, insurgent, militiaman, grunt, etc.) kit appear, hopefully with an AKMS?
I also noticed that the AU does not feature a rifleman with an Kalishnikov. Is this intended to set the AU away from the ARF as more of a conventional force? I would suggest giving one, or an AK-74, to one of the spawnable riflemen as it is in use by countless African nations.
In relation to the above, it has the second kit as the FA FAL. What are the differences between the FN and FA versions?
