Another small update for more crits, there's some highlights where there has been wear although I've not added enough yet, there's some low lights on the diffuse, as well as some dark scratches, textured the bolts (badly :/) - The specular looks nicer now too but you can't really see from the picture. There's lots of bits I'm just plain not happy with, I think the foregrip is a bit light overall, as well as the scope, some of the highlights look out of place, hopefully it will start to come together as I tweak it more and dirty it up.

Progress is slow, might have some more free time soon though. Crits would be good since I'm not very good, or fast at texturing.

Keep at it penguin :) I highly advise using the ingame L85A2 textures as a reference as they are of extremely high artistic quality.

I dont know the black doesnt seem like its metal
or is it a lack of some map that isnt present in the current render?

Very minor update, but I thought I'd show something - I know longer have exams so I'll hopefully get this finished

Not sure where to go from here, I can put dust type details on the RIS + foregrip but since it's a plastic it wouldn't really suit scratches, I'll try and add a few scratches and marks to the scope and the main rifle anyway. There's some text which is missing from the RIS but I can't work out what it says - I think there's numbering and some serial codes but couldn't really tell.

Any guidance would be nice :D

I think you definitely need to tone down the most extreme of the scratching, and be a little more logical about it's placement. Have a look at the current L85A2 and see how scratches are rendered there.
