i assume your listed power supply is a typo??
54 watt's seems very low.

I recommend saving yourselfI a shit-ton of money and go with something like an i7 920 with an asus P6T. All it seems like now is you went online and found the most expensive parts you could. While that'd be a nice rig your really spending alot more than you need to.RHYS4190 wrote:this the rig iv been looking at

Good. but expensive.
# graphics card/ radon sapphire 5870 or 5970
Might as well get the 5970 > 5870 since your budget seems to be limitless.
# processor/ i7 985 extreme
You could probably just get a 920 and OC it.....
# mother bourd/ rampage 3 or/ Evga x 58 classified
# ram corsair- dominator dd43
# silver stone 54 watt power supply
lolwut, is the rest gonna be powered by hamsters?
# sound card/ curative sound blast
iirc those Rampage/Formula Boards come with a Creative X-fi card if its from Asus.
# Hard Drive/ raptor, or a SSD
What about storage? SSD's are good for gaming and your OS but using it for Music, Videos, or Pictures is just senseless waste of money.

If you don't know about water cooling then you probably shouldn't put it in what seems to be a VERY expensive rig.
do you have any recommendations,

Water is better than oil when it comes to dissapating heat.
You only need to water cool it if you plan on Overclocking the system. As Fuzzy said.. you looked up a bunch of high-end products, no need to overclock that stuff for a while.
I would recommend sticking with a Nvidia GPU. Whenever there are Graphic card issues it always seems to boil down to ATI cards.

I heard that it better to go with oil base, because i means if you get a leak it won't fry your computer,SnipeHunt wrote:Water is better than oil when it comes to dissipating heat.

I don't know any thing about Navidia GPU i read that they are not offering a lot in performance these day's, and iv been told that the i7 is the best avalible,
so you saying the ATI radeon cards are unreliable?.I would recommend sticking with a Nvidia GPU. Whenever there are Graphic card issues it always seems to boil down to ATI cards
