M79 grenade launcher, machete for cutting thick "gates"

You could incorporate thick bits of jungle that cover entrances that would require a machete to cut.

I will be extremely happy if the VZ 58 gets put in for the Viet Cong.

M2 Carbine was first used at the end of WW2 at Okinawa IIRC, also the M£ carbine with the infrared scope.

And correct me if I'm wrong - but wouldn't any thompsons be more likely to appear in NVA hands supplied by the chinese using the stocks that the US gave them for the 2nd Sino-Japanese War?

Still, I hope that you can find the time to get a newer model for the arisaka carbine (my favourite weapon in EoD2).

I would welcome the return of the SKS, because it was a widely used gun by the Vietcong.

Plus please bring in the M1 Carbine if there ever is a South Korean Expeditionary Force or South Vietnamese faction. The M1 Carbine was extremely widely used by US allies in the war. Not having it would be bad in my opinion.

Also the M1911 and the M14 are very welcome.

Maybe the North Vietnamese LAT kit should have RPG 2 or something, while the HAT kit might have the rpg 7.

Don't know if it has been suggested, but how about a fully automatic M14?

If you want a full auto you want the M 16 the M-14 is far more effective on semi-auto.
the weapon was virtually uncontrollable in fully automatic mode, so much so that most M14s were permanently set to semi-automatic fire only, so as to avoid useless waste of ammunition in combat

I'm almost Positive the Vz. 58 wasn't used in Vietnam, and even if it was, it isn't significant enough to be considered.

ANYWAYS :) . More suggestions from me:

XM-177 Carbine

M1D Garand (Believe me, it was used as a sniper rifle by Marines in the Vietnam war, at least until 1967. I read a book on the Vietnam war and they talked about it.)

M14 Rifle (I geetcha!)

And lastly, the MAS-36
