Post by saxen »

PR takes long to start (getting blackscreen for a minute or two) then when i try to login with a accout i get "The server has refused your connection".

I was playing earlyer today but now all of a sudden it stopped working.

well... Reinstalling dosn't work.

Must be some shit with the ISPs.

Me and a friend of myne got Bredbandsbolaget and we cannot get on the site, another one with telia can however.

Yes I can confirm there is some kind of problem with Bredbandsbolagets DNS and they are working on it.

Good news then, I was worried my computer had given up on me. :)

I have Bredbandsbolaget too.
I have the exact same problem, and I've tried a lot of things locally with the computer.
Jimmydix's links are also unreachable. I'll check if I can play other games online.
Tried deleting certain folders, network settings, not reinstalling though since my CD is at a friends place.
I also updated PBSetup.
I will elaborate if anyone could help me. I'm on Win 7.

Edit: Oh, nice. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon so I can return to "duty"!

same problem here.
http://gamespyid.com/ and Servers playing All Games | Server / Player Search | Game-Monitor.com :: Server Search, Monitoring, Stats and more also unreachable.

pr start is very slowly and then I get a message "the server refused the connection".

there must be something wrong with gamespy or pbuster... the problem is not ours.

hope they fix it soon.

Seems to work now, I can connect to my account server and also to game servers now.
I still have things to check though, so I'll report back in tomorrow. Definitely an ISP problem though, if anyone is still having problems.

You tried reinstalling? Might work to delete the Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents, that will make the game start on a clean sheet next time you run it. You'll have to import your account and edit your in-game options though.

You could try any of the things listed here too:
Server Refused Connec When Creating New Profile

A reinstall will do the same thing. Still not working? It worked for me. My internet connec went down for one second, and when it was up again everything worked fine. I can view the game-monitor website and the other one, and run both bf2 and PR without any issues. Without actually reinstalling at all.
