Is it possible to induce the 7/6+ squad bug?

Lately I have been noticing an increase in the 7/6+ squad bug. It is my assumption that since 7 is an integer on the squad amount, there could be the possibility of more.

For those who don't know, sometimes a player can join a 6 man squad and still remain in it, HOWEVER they cannot leave the squad when they are the only person left in it (EG when a new squad has to be created to solve the medic kit bug). They can however, leave it at any time.

Now my question is this: Is it possible to somehow bug the spawn screen so this bug can be exploited for positive purposes? I am aware that an increase in the squad is not physically doable since the squad screen is hardcoded.

For what purpose you ask? Practicality and awesomeness. As an SL I'd love nothing more than to have 8 people available in my squad, 2 to crew something and the rest as dismount, or one in a chopper, the rest air cav. The possibilities are endless.

This question purely talks to those who know about coding and how the system works, if it is completely impossible or if this thread has been done before, please delete.

I wouldnt "force" the bug, but if there is a workaround or something...

the bug while it might look like there is 7 players in a 6 man squad, actually dosen't have 7 players in it...

And the 7th cant hear the rest of the squad, or something like that. There was a VOIP problem within the squad at least.

I have played with 7 people in one squad and yes, there were actually 7 people. Not sure about the voip issue though, but textchat worked fine. I have even seen 8 players in a squad, but don't know any details about that one.

Forcing this bug...... I don't know if there even is a way of doing that.

I saw a squad with this bug back at .87 on Asad Khal, but I had to leave so I don't know any details. However, maybe if 2 people join at the exact same time (considering ping) they both take the slots at the same time, thus having 7 men squads?

The 7th player squad bug I've had is actually a 7th person, who you can see in the squad, and on the map, but he's actually on the other team.
I know this because I wanted to see where my 7th squad mate was, went to his exact location and he was taliban guy sat on the cache I was looking for

I've seen 9 people in one squad before a long time ago on Vanilla.

IF it was possible to force the bug without any VOIP issues, this would be uber awesomeness.

But he isn't assigning mumble a value, for it is already win.
(mumble == win) can work. Win can be a boolean.

That be programming, son, not just C++. This is (part of) what runs everything you do.





It's not even worth exploiting due to it's unreliability. Two 4-man squads work the best (I don't know about you, but I would rather directly manage 3 nutcase squadmembers than 5, at any given time).

Back when my clan had a BF2142 server, we had a squad up to 10 players one time. Our entire 10 man team minus the commander was in the squad, lol.

But yeah this could be probably the most useful bug/glitch in the game.

That totally depends on the language you're programming in :D . Some languages use comparisons with a single "=". To assign values, Pascal even uses ":=", like a := b. Or COBOL, something like "MOVE A TO B" :p .

Yeah the 7th guy is usually on the other team although I'm not sure if they can be on the same team as you.
I've seen 2 squadleaders as well :p

Yeah, I made a squad before, had 6 people join it, then a 7th, and all of a sudden the squad markers were being placed without me setting them, and my squad is following those markers, meanwhile, I'm sitting there wondering what is happening while a backseat squad leader actual leads my squad.
