Collection of 2048x2048 Maps?

Did anyone do the hard work for me yet and post the mini maps of all .917 maps somewhere on the internet?

And if not how would I do it... I had figured it out a month ago but can't remember and can't locate any tut for it.

open the minimap in the client.zip of the map you want, using photoshop, gimp or paint.net, the save as whatever filetype you want in what size you want.

How do you get it into a format suitable for those art programs? They are originally in .dds

for photoshop you just need the nvidia dds pluggins which are free, gimp and paint.net both can open dds files from default installation.

I use DDS converter 2. Search on "Google" its very effective!

I think that's from 0917, or I did it for 0909, but either way, it's got most of the maps in it.

Wewt. :D Now to print these bad boys out. ^_^

(Trust me, having a physical map I can put points on and mark it as "THIS IS EFFING IMPORTANT" really helps. XD specially since every release there seems to be a new batch of maps, and then there isn't any of the old ones i actually enjoyed except Jabal... D: But we all know that's not going to last very long anymore... v.v :x (Bring meh back my .75 ghost train... or Qwai... the days before EVERY map was a random spawn point)



I acutally have a question, instead of random flag captures with one set being random?

For instance, for the most part 1/2 the times you get a set "standard", so, for instance, lets say you get 10 different layouts, 5 "random" layouts, and 5 "set" layouts.


So, half the time you get a map you at least can expect the outcome, the other half you're like "OMG THIS IS NEW"

This allows for entertaining gameplay, but occasionally something where you're like "Ok.. i've played this before, we HAVE to capture that base or else we will lose.. RAAAWWWRR"

=/ Cause... Half the time.. Especially since we don't have commanders, my squad is like "Where are we going?"

and i reply "You know...... Lets just go crazy. Cause..... none of those trees where that flag is look remotely defensible.. and our entire team is over at that beach waaaay up there where the enemies won't be... So... yeah... Oh hey a *dies* huey..... ._."

Thank you so much for doing the work for me. And thanks rudd for teaching me how to do it in future releases.
