poor admins ruin the fun

Post by Scared_420 »

i have noticed this happeneing a lot lately and its really taking the fun out of pr, instead of a warning for a minor infraction admins go on a power trip and either kick or ban

for example this just happened to me, was playing on gaza all round and right when are on last cache i go commander, i then say to arty the blufor main as there is usually vehicles in there, i did not know the rules as usually insurgents can operate anywhere on the map but some servers dont allow it, now instead of jus saying thats not allowed i get kicked for 5 mins when i never actually artied the enemy main, when i rejoined i said that was poor admining and that you could have said it was against the rules (was playing over 1.5 hrs and battle getting intense) then i get banned with the message "wants to arty main"

anyone else experience poor admining on any servers (please leave out server names)

post in the appropriate server feedback thread.

if you don't like a server, don't play there

kicks are not harsh punishments, they are a form of operant conditioning, kicking quickly teaches you to not do things :P banning is the harsh punishment

their server, their rules, their server maintanence bills, as long as they don't break the PR server license its their own private fiefdom.

Do not accept bad servers, Do not play on them, you do not HAVE to play on a server, there are other servers, you can even set your own server up. Let them play how they want, its not their responsibility to tell you all the rules, its your responsibility to know the server rules.

take it to the respective server feedback forum, admins are people too (=O shock) and make mistakes. They also don't always have all the facts as people lie. If its really that bad change server.

EDIT: rudd stole my thunder.. but what he said ^^

then take issue with the one rotten apple and his friends in the right place, don't open a PR wide discussion on bad admining.

You have been on these forums long enough that you must have seen the many "bad admins" thread, the result is always the same.... a lock and a message to take it up with the server admins on their websites.
