okayyy back on topic.
someone said about a mass-sea operation. should have a sort of coast of Tonkin map, south vietnamese commandos raiding north vietnamese coastal installations with aircraft in support. would be pretty cool.

Re: Maps
But the maps did not promote helis enough.
i dont think lzs should have fixed aa but the vc/nva should be able to have time at the start of the round say the commander can place a set a few tempory spawn points at what ever position he feels e.g landing zones and put bunkers and 12.7mm hmg positions available.
I also think that these things are very important for heli maps. There should also be a careful planning of the maps. I'm not into map-making myself, but I do realise that to promote helis you should for example make it impracticle for the aa to not use heli's by making big maps with a big distance between aa base and objective.have the vietcong team put valuable bunkers and aamg's near the lz?, has the commander planned to prep the landing zone enough? ... have valued what the slower game can be
Maybe the vc/nva could be given the ability to move spawn points besides having temporary spawn points. Cause I have the idea that vc/nva were very decentralized.

These maps are really very good so that there is these same maps in BF2 for EoD.
A map is missing from the list closefire jungle map with tightly closed and that the version for the V PR I believe we would have good rounds
Here's a video of the map to EoD to BF2

This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning

Re: Maps
Yeah they used to also get up real close so they wouldn't fire artillery in because friendly fire would be very high. They started firring artillery again even after they got so close.chagadiel wrote: the vietcong and nva both used villages to ambush the americans becuase they couldnt use their artillary within a 1000 metres of civilion property and airstrikes had to autherized through several channels upto the south vietnamese goverment official.
I would also want Ho Chi minh trail that would be quite awesome and a tet offensive map. Also I think would be awesome is if they just had a farmland type of map. I already know La drang was mentioned.

Re: Maps
Yeah I liked that one to, only to bad you never could have really good road ambushes. Yeah you had those big trees you could shoot and bring down, but never a really cool ambush. If you'd make it medium sized it could be a cool map.TheOldBreed wrote:don't forget radio tower and that one where you're the aussies on the cambodian border. well, i guess that one was only good with a small number of aussies and masses of enemy![]()
