Odd, screen flickering when supress effect renders

Hi all, umm my first post on tech support, so I don't really know if there is a format or something.

Issue: My issue is, when I get suppressed ingame, or I bleed out etc, the effect causes my screen to start flickering. I.e black lines that move horizontally up and down the screen while flicking on and off. This also happens when a grenade blows up near me,

Now what I'm thinking is that my update for my video card, which is a XFX nVidia 8600 GT is causing the issue, reading that some new nVidia cards don't render effects properly. It isn't the actual card though since it worked fine in earlier versions and never had this problem.

Anyways, any tips or fixes someone could give me would be great. You can't play with this going on :S
