It depends what laptop really, mine does the job but I wouldnt know about Mac.

As it is now i would not be able to run PR fully mac, i would think bootcamp and an early version of windows could do it?

Would Windows 98 be able to do the job?

Freb0 you should be able to run it fine on medium or low settings with boot camp, but you'll need XP since its win98 and it cant reed more than 128mb ram i think. I'm not sure but it defenetly cant read 4GB

Hey Frebo, best way of running PR on a mac would definately be via bootcamp, using XP or windows 7. XP would probably be best for you in terms of minimal OS's, and you should manage medium settings on PR easy.

Ive personally been playing PR on a mac laptop via bootcamp without a hitch since i joined way back in 2006, and am currently running PR on all high on the 2.8Ghz, 15in MBP. Basically, ignore these haters :p

Give me a shout if you have any questions.

You are very. Very. Very. Wrong.

I run PR on medium to high settings on my macbook pro.

You need to get bootcamp, and install windows seven on a separate partition or it will not work. Once you get bootcamp going, and windows seven installed, install PR as you normally would do.

This goes off topic but, is that some actual game on the screenshot for MAC? It looks like some mario 2 clone.

Same here if you still need convincing. Gaming on a Mac is perfectly doable. Only downside is you wont be using OSX to do it ;)

I play PR on my imac without any problems. Bootcamp works like a dream. I think Bootcamp is the best way to play PR on a Mac. If you have a mac pro I would download Parallels. Then you can run windows in mac os x, but it is extremely resource demanding of your computer to run games like PR on it.

No but seriously. Why so serious guys. Is it not allowed to mock mac :-D .

To answer your question Raic: I don´t have a clue I didn´t make the picture. But it is not the point anyways. It´s more on the 2D and 3D level.

guys, you are forgetting about Parallels desktop. Basically a program that lets you run OSX and Windows AT the same time. I would look into getting that so you don't need to restart the computer everytime you want to play something that isn't MAC oriented. A pro of mac, is you get the amazing rendering quality :D I've played some games on a Mac Pro and I will tell you now, it's way better than any PC i've seen

Mmmhmmm, and seeing as the current Macbook Pro's have fully-fledged desktop i7s in them and pretty good graphic cards, they're not only topping in the laptop section but also competing with most current desktops, too.

As a note, unless anything has changed, I would recommend using bootcamp. Last time I looked at the differences, bootcamp had better performance than parallels (unless that's hopefully changed). I dunno why eddie's running only on medium/high, he could have everything on high if he wanted too, however it may be due to heat and not wanting to fry anything, i dunno.

We did talk about emulation but that is usually to demanding. You need something like a quad pro and 8 gigs of ram and bla bla etc. You'd still be throwing away processor power to emulation that you could have used for gaming :) I cant game when I know Im not using my machine for the fullest. I mean, why would you want to have Mac OS on the side at the same time? Its not like your going to work on your finances while your playing PR. Unless your CO ofcourse ;)

Only I would xD it depends what you want to do.. But parallels allows you to effectively, "sleep" the other OS so it isn't using anything. It only stops the restarting that is needed with bootcamp

I used Paralells and I could not run a game on it. Maybe I did something wrong but my windows partition didnt run so quickly as it did in Bootcamp.
