[Help] BF2Editor Problem

Alright here's the problem this time:

When I place all of the objects in the BF2Editor for my map, it doesn't write in the GPO after I save. I made sure the file was readable, it was in fact readable. I'm just wondering why it's not writing in the file.

I really don't want to have to do it all manually.

Which GPO file are you thinking its saving to? The one in "\pr_edit\levels\Al_Kut\Editor\GamePlayObjects.con" will be altered when you save.

Is it saving this one? Just by saving this one, it wont do anything in game, you need to put that in
pr_edit\levels\Al_Kut\GameModes\gpm_cq\64\GamePlayObjects.con etc, etc. as you make each individual gamemode.

Basically, make one for the cq 64, then place it from /editor and into that folder, then make a new gpo in /editor and place it in say... "Skirmish" etc.

The problem is that the editor isn't editing the GPO in the editor folder. It's confusing as heck.

do you have your GamePlayObjects in an other layer than default ???

Yeah.

Well I just figured out what's happening now. Alrighty well the editor did in fact edit the GPO files. But when I load into the game after putting the GPO in every game mode, the default bf2 gulf of oman vehicles still load!

I'm thinking maybe something is pointing to the regular BF2 mod instead of the PR mod.

Alright well I just packaged it and it solved the problem, but with my luck there's still some issues.

The AT4 Is not visible, I can enter enemy vehicles (easy fix I'm sure) the whole map on the spawn screen is not lined up, AAS order is all jacked up.

Looks like I've got quite a few problems left to work out.

The main problem I'm concerned with is the AAS order. I'm not quite sure how to fix it.

are you running through pr_edit or through pr?

for vehicles you must select and check teamlock or lock, I think its called to make only the team they belong to use them.

A lot of your questions can be solved by simply following the tuts Rhino and others have stickied... its really frustrating

Okay.

I'm running it through PR_Edit at the moment. I will be following those tutorials for quite a while. Thanks for ALL of your help. It was awesome

alternativly.... add layers to your map and specify what gametypes for each such as AAS 16 64 etc...
then the editor will save your gamemodes folder correctly.

If not jsut copy paste your GPIO from editor folder into gamemodes game mode folder.
