0xc000007 Error. Please help!

Hey, I'm getting a 0xc000007 error when I try to run pr.exe.

I've looked throughthis thread and tried scanning for viruses and changing the shortcut and target, but it never works. I've tried running BF2Cleaner, but it comes up with the same 0xc000007 error.

I've been desperate to play PR since I reinstalled windows, so I need some help, quick.

Since 0xc000007 is an access violation error, try maybe to look in that direction in finding your solution.

What is with your User Account Control and Windows Firewall, my suggestion would be to turn both of them off permanently, since they are useless and annoying anyway.
Also, are you maybe trying to run PR.exe as an Administrator with user account which doesn't have Administrator rights?


Don't know really how to exactly help you but i hope something of this could at least point you in right direction.

Nope, still doesn't work.

It works on Windows 7 64-Bit, as I tried on the same computer, but there are reasons why I'm not going to go to 64 bit, so please don't suggest that.

It worked before on 32-bit, why not now?

Taking just a quick look, noticed just this one error, and hopefully that could be it (access violation - unknown owner), try to reinstall .NET Framework v4.0.21006 or to install newer version if exists.

EDIT: Since PR needs .NET Framework 3.5 try maybe first to reinstall 3.5, you can find few download links in THIS thread.
