Co-piloting the 2 seat jets

Post by SchildVogel »

I've done a bit of searching in the forums, and couldn't find anything about how to copilot in the jets. Would anyone mind explaining/providing a link?

Are you talking about the gunner seat in the Tornado and the Su-32(I think it is, but the one the Chinese use on Qinling). You can't really "co-pilot", but you work the LGBs and LGMs. You search for the laze and launch. You CAN guide them yourself, but its very inaccurate. Hit 2,3,4, etc. to change weapon and view.

It's quite simple, and very similar to the attack helos.

However, since your moving in one direction, and if the pilot isn't a n0ob, then it's really simple.

1 is first person view, 2 and 3 are missiles (2 is self-guide[LG] 3 is laser targeted \[LT]), 4 and 5 are bombs (4 is self guide[LG] 5 is laser targeted[LT]).

You need ~ 1000m away from the target to effectively hit at 1000m altitude. If there is a lase, use 3/5. It will hit directly on the lase, as long as you have ~1000m alt and 1000m distance away. If there isn't a lase, get an accurate attack marker, and aim between the "crosshair" marker and the "distance" numbers in the marker. You have 360 view, so just keep the crosshair right between those two markers, and you'll hit perfectly.

Use missiles for vehicles, because it's more accurate. Use bombs for large contact infantry, firebases, etc.

Very cool, thanks. I assume it's the same munitions set up for both jets then? meaning the # you choose selects the same type of missile/bomb.

.... are you asking how do you use the double seat jets??? you should use a little more description of what you are asking when you post again :D ..... its basicaly Just like Bf2 there is one pilot controls Air to air missles and gun and then a bombideer seat that controls Air to ground missles and Bombs.
