Few Things to do how to remove lag,and play on medium/high

Post by Remy.Soldier »

Hello Project Reality Players, I got great news. I noticed that still alot of people have lag.

Im going to do just 3 steps for you what to do, and play the game smoothly.

STEPS:

STEP 1
As you guys know , vista is running alot of engine, so here is what we are going to do:

Press ''Start Button''

Go to My Computer and right click > Properties> Advanced System Settings

Performance > Settings And click the 3rd box.

____________________________________________________________

STEP: 2

Also a comon problem in vista, background tasks, follow my instructions how to stop them.

You will need a program called ''Game Booster'', it can be downloadedHERE .

(Thanks to Rudd)

Download,Install, and click Go To Game Mode, and it simply dissable background tasks.

Also a good thing to dissable background tasks, is change to Start Up programs.

Go to Start and type in: msconfig

Now click on it and open start up , the 4th box, now Uncheck all those programms you dont want to open and run like a lil spy on your background. (Im from holland so my pc says: Opstarten, but i dont know what that is in your langauge)

STEP: 3

Settings, arent there just lovely. Haha, well not anymore when they are all Low.

For guys who's pc is just a lil bit slower to run on high, use medium.

Oke here is what we are going to do for MEDIUM.

Just make evrything Medium , exept!, Dynamic Shadows, and AA off. Also turn Dynamic Light a bit down maybe, thats not needed but you have to find it out a bit urself.

And if you know your PC can just easly run high, do this:
For High Just simply click all High and Turn OFF (not low) Dynamic Shadows and AA, you dont see any diffrence , it worth!

I got you guys a good tip for Ping Lowering, check if you are running on Cable or WiFi.

If you are on WiFi , go to Game options of PR menu, and click T1 LAN

If you are on Cable, go to Game of PR menu, and click Cable (256kpbs or better)

Hope it helped, and enjoy your Non Laggy Project Reality

Disabling all background programs doesn't seem very smart to me.. Wouldn't that cause your PC to become unstable (as Windows also has background programs)?

I've used Game Booster for a while now with no issues at all. It does not disable anything which would make windows run in an unstable manner and if you want the programmes Game Booster has just closed just click 'Back to normal mode' and everything that was open before you activated Game Booster will start up again.

Background programs are most of the time such things as, AOL Toolbar Updater, Flash Updater (spyware) and pooooopy like that... But also things of microsoft , but you can still dissable it... Dude, I know where i am talking about ;)

Windows will generally stop you from ending critical processes. Like above, end non-crucial processes EG MSN, Anti-Virus etc

I use game booster alot, it turns off stuff like the things that help windows search for files. when you're finished playing just press 'normal mode' and it'll put it all back on so that your computer functions work as normal :)

For step one do you mean third box or third round button? As in adjust all for best performance? May increase memory and so on but changes the desktop a lot... Disregard if its just one tickbox

Gamebooster seems to be working great for me too
