Please shed some light on the military life? You have to buy stuff to be more effective? It's that I might become an US Army Officer...USMCMIDN wrote:It was a joke... My unit doesn't think im funny either....![]()
But back on topic...
I do not think the US Forces should get optics on the shotguns... I think this because unlike the Brits we do not use shotguns as a main weapon, often a secondary. Our primary 16s and M4 Carbines are souped up but as for a weapon hanging on our back most of the time just to shoot open doors unless the Marine or soldier buys the optic himself but I doubt the armorer is going to give that person an extra sight because he asked...? Brits should deff have it tho seeing as it is their primary weapon.

since these things are "unnecessary" for a soldier to be effective, things like the eotech are not issued it. however soldiers are welcome to go buy it themselves as it does make them more effective than without. from what i've heard from active CF members some units have begun putting parts of their budget into getting them for their members as unofficially issued kit for anyone who feels they need one. but thats just from what i've heard and only about CF. as for US army/marines i wouldn't be surprised if some units have begun to do the same.goguapsy wrote:Please shed some light on the military life?
