Anyway, today at school I was talking with some classmates about videogames/shooters. We talked about goldeneye and halo and call of duty. And we reached Battlefield 2, some classmate said the following thing:
and"I like the concept of BF2, but I hate that nobody uses the Squad system."
Most of them agreed. So I asked them if they ever heard of Project Reality. Well guess what...THEY DID! But they didn't try it out because"I wish BF2 was a bit more tactical and realistic"
"Isn't that mod still in beta?"
So, some guys who wanted something like Project Reality for BF2, didn't want to download the mod because they thought it was still a beta version."When is the final version coming out?"
I kicked their asses (no, not really) and told them to skip class (no, not really) and download and try the mod.
Right now they are downloading the mod and I will play a few rounds with them tonight, but this made me wonder. I guess it's ignorant of them to not even try a beta of a mod, but maybe there are more great players out there who don't wanna download the mod because of the 0.X version.
I know the DEVS think of 0.X as just a number, but still...
