Re: Question
there is a good chance the general reaction to this would not be favourable.

that is what happened to the last guy to ask about GTAing PR stuff, though you have said you would credit the mod at least but i would await a managment decision on this.

Re: Question
Seasoned PR players don't value the GTA franchise much I guess. Having PR's shiny toys is a privilege to those who understand the value of startegical teamplay. I've seen GTA IV online, sensless cheating, exploits and chaos. I don't know how much would SA differ from that, but simply thinking about some pug pimping with PR assets in any of them doesn't make me too happy as a PR player.

Re: Question
this post is a bit more reasonable than the other one, the choice lies with the PR management, you might consider PMing a red tag DEV.

Re: Question
My problem with GTA IV modding is that no one actually makes anything, they all convert it from other games and mods.

And adding to my previous post I agree with Rudd, I just think my perception as a general point of view, no personal-offensive approach intended.[R-CON]Rudd wrote:this post is a bit more reasonable than the other one, the choice lies with the PR management, you might consider PMing a red tag DEV.

Re: Question
Converting from PR to GTA4 makes you so much of a modder as copying news and posting it on other sites makes you a journalist.
PR DEVs have spent hours on the chinook for it to be used in PR not for somebody else to grab it and put it in their "mod". Its similar as if you would stand infront of a factory and wait for the workers to get out, then ask one of them to give you $50 and saying you will tell where did you get the money from. He still worked those $50 instead of you.

Re: Question
Please gentlemen, this matter is up to teh PR team and the makers of the Chinook (R-DEV Stigger iirc)Converting from PR to GTA4 makes you so much of a modder as copying news and posting it on other sites makes you a journalist.
this is not a discussion of the merits of modding, this lad has asked a question, those in a position to provide a comprehensive answer to his enquiry will be along in due course.
I'm not saying the request will be granted, usually exchanges of models etc only happen when there is a fair deal on the table equitable for both parties, however if the relevant parties don't mind granting the request then really the PR players don't have much input as it doesnt really affect them

Re: Question
I'm locking this up for now.
If a Management Dev makes a decision other than "no" i'm sure they'll be in touch with the OP.
