For people that are saying "lolbut you can just jump out is simples" you can't use your periscope without being in the driver seat. I don't see why a sound cannot be given a "silence" button, maybe X/C/F for drivers will turn off the engine. Idle sound after x seconds would be lame, it would sound like your tank is turning on and off and on again.

I'd like to see just the opposite.....make it a requirement for the driver to be in the driver seat while there is a gunner in the turret. - Make the idle sound a bit softer.

Well IRL you can turn the engine off so I don't see why you shouldn't in PR,well except the issue that if you switch off the sound on X,C,F or else, you would still be able to drive the vehicle with no sound... Maybe if its doable to make the sound start again when you press W, then it's gonna be ok, but I don't really think that they turn off the engine on the battlefield IRL.

Maybe if its possible for the engine to "shut off" automatically after 10-30 seconds of holding, so its still technically running but the idle sound lowers to 0.
