Good Low-Profile Video Cards?

Post by goguapsy »

So yeah! Preferably <$200 dollars... I'm having a hard time finding out if the HD 5570 is any good...

I want anything that can run ARMA 2 better than HD 2400 actually

Thanks for the help!

well, i can't really help that much but i was planning on getting a XFX Radeon 5770 i heard it was pretty decent and can run ArmA II pretty well (which is one of the main reasons i am getting it). Its Under $200.

Nvidia 9800GT would probably suffice, and probably quite cheap... Ok its not the latest gpu in the market, but im still running my 8800GTX on at least medium on arma2.. But the 8800gtx is a double slot jobby, but I think the 9800 is a low profile 1 slotter, unless that's not what you meant xD

Moved to the relevent forum.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

The link you posted answers your question doesn't it? They recommend the 9800GT which is ~$100. Not bad.
Is your motherboard micro ATX?

I originally thought you were looking for a single slot full-sized card because I thought the majority of low profile cards are only good for HTPCs.

Just for the record, I went with the GTS250, 1GB, which I believe is the best low-profile card available ATM...
