PR on the move

Post by PLODDITHANLEY »

I know very little, but I was looking at the UK mobile internet broadband and was wondering if its possible to play via a mobile connection?

Unlimited monthly allowance for DL/UL, but the speed looks to low for online gaming to me:
supports speeds up to 7.2Mbps (download) and up to 2.0Mbps (upload) subject to network availability
Anyone confirm?

How much MB/GB would be used in an hours gaming?

Thanks

Probably would work, not too sure though. Here in Canada that would be nearly impossible to find where I live. :P

Thats what i have (im on Virgin Media Large Wireless Broadband) and i get exactly those speeds....its plugged into my xbox, my mac, ipod and orange phone and even tho all these things are using the internet at the same time i still get amazing speeds and hardly ever lag...

tho im not sure if the "mobile" variant performs the same way

I get about 50kb/s down and 20kkb/s up and I can play US servers with about 50 ping and overseas (Europe) with about 150

You should be fine

Cheers guys.

Pantera you actually play PR Ok with this type of connection?
Are you in the middle of a built of area or live on top of an antenna or anything 'special' like that?
