Download trouble, please help

Ok, well everytime i try to download this mod, at the end of the download it freezes firefox (i have the latest version) and i can't do anything with the download. I referred to the mozilla website, and i was told to turn the virus scan off. I did that, but it still froze, and i could click on the download and it wouldn't freeze, but it said it's not compatible with windows. Please help me out here guys.

I had this mod before, and it was removed a while back, and i want to re-install the new one. So i'm confused as to why it worked back then, but not now.

Use µTorrent and download the PR torrent file instead. It's obviously Firefox that is your problem. Torrenting files almost eliminates the chance of the download from being corrupt and will allow you to pause the download if you wish.

Alternatively, use a download manager.

If you insist on downloading straight through your web browser, use Google Chrome. Chrome will also let you pause downloads from certain hosts.

See i'm not sure firefox is the problem though, because i tried this in Safari also. It did just about the same thing.
