PR/Arma 2 Rig: Help me build it!

I'm on the market of buying a new PC.

My price range is about 2000$ CAD.

I'm not looking to salvage anything and want to move to 1200p/1080p res.


So I want people to give me feedback about there rig on:

- Gaza performance. All high.
- Lashkar valley performance. All high.
- Fallujah performance . All high.

Any other feedback on how you're rig performs in and out of PR is also appreciated.

Next I'd like you to tell me if you recommend buying some of the same components you have or better. I've donne a whole lot of research but now I want to know from the people who play PR.

It'd be a plus if you also know how well you're rig performs in Arma2 : A.C.E mod.
A.C.E does stress you're machine more.

I'm looking at:

Phenom II x6 1090T 3.2Ghz (Six Cores BTW )
8 gb 1333 dd3 ram dual channel ( 2x4gb )
1 x gtx470 (1.2gb) or 2 x gtx460 (1gb)
Mobo, PSU and others fitting arround does components.

What do you think?

Dual GTX460's beat a single GTX480 so go with them. I would recommend a good card for PhysX to go on the side if you plan on playing any games that require PhysX. Corsair or Antec PSU. The rest looks good

Yeah. there also cheaper together then one 480.
The only thing is i want to know how it performs in PR.

And finding a well rated Corsair PSU that has the juice to power a rig like this isn't all that easy, especially in local shops.

anything past the 650TX/HX should be fine.

My Clan Mate runs a 5870, Phenom X6 @ 3.8, 8GB of DDR3 ram, and a 500GB hdd on a 550w antec. so a Cosair 650TX would probably pull it.

For one HD5870 yes that would make sense.
The 58xx series are superior to the 400 series Power/Price/Performance wise.
And they pull less then the GTX4xxs'.
Since I'm going for two I'd need 800 and I can't find stock anyways.

I just wanna know how every one else rigs work on PC because I get mixed results when talking VIA voip.

For one HD5870 yes that would make sense.
The 58xx series are superior to the 400 series Power/Price/Performance wise.
And they pull less then the GTX4xxs'.

One thing you have to remember is the amount of watts is only one factor, You also need to take into account the AMPS that the rails put out.

Even Nvidia's website list the TX750 as SLI ready for 2 GTX 470's

BTW i had a delay in Ordering my parts.
It seems right when I want a six core more places start selling the lower version of them, yet still favor the i7.
