'[R-CON wrote:fuzzhead']ive found most of the time in iGi on sharqi and your other 'full server' maps, there is very little teamwork, and generally it feels most like vanilla bf2...

its full all the time, but no one stays till the end of the round, because its very boring and just plays like vanilla bf2..

my two cents.
Yes, well hopefully the 0.4 update with the excellent kit limiting should solve that issue. The reason there is little teamwork is because there are far too many support and snipers compared to the rest of the team.

For some reason the iGi server is constantly disconnecting me for no apparent reason about 1 minute after I join the game. One week it will be working fine and the next it wont work at all.

Wish I could try and point out the cause but im clueless, every other server for PRMM works perfectly with the exception of iGi :( Hasn't worked for a few days now it will probably fix its self in a day or two then in a week it will be back to the same problem.

You guys really need to add Kyongan Ni to the server lineup, Steel Thunder, and possibly Jabal. The first two are probably on everybodies "BEST" list and some of the most PRMM type maps. IGI has way too many vanilla maps in its server lineup now and it feels too much run and gun vanilla. Please put the first 2 back and if enough feedback comes on Jabal, add that too. People need to understand that this game is not about spawning and then killing someone on their flag a few feet away or having the same done to them, but having some good med-long range squad combat where it isnt all about run and gun and SAW spamming which always happens on IGI.

We've ran all 3 in the past and they either aren't compatible with our no armour policy or just don't play well.

Can't say there are many fans of Kyongan Ni or Steel Thunder in .:iGi:. In fact i've seen Kyongan Ni clear the server.

We're not going to make many changes until 0.4 i'm afraid. We are well aware of the support spamming bugt there's nothing we can do about it. In fact i've stopped playing PR until 0.4 because of it.

We've added added Steel Thunder 16 and Zatar 16 for the weekend to see how they play. :-D

hehe I play to much on iGi I went on another server last night (forgot which map) but I was running around and then ran smack right into a tank I just stood there thinking to myself "hold on there's no bloody tanks in this map"

I then proceeded to quickly die.

You can see why we have a no armour server. :-D
Have you managed to sort your disconnecting problem out yet?

yep, i'm hearing virtually no VOIP ingame, no answer to my messages, loads of non-english speakers, appalling numbers of snipers. time to clear them out.

that map with the Dam and the big contruction yard and power station next to the bridge over the gorge. i was USMC and managed to fire and manouvre style clear across the bridge whilst everyone behind me was going "pop, pop, pop" with their toy sniper rifles and dying in their droves. i killed people on the other side and died due to lack of backup even though i was using the rose and typing for support to help me

tonights example of squads that would not move in on the enemy flags. i ended up storming 2 flags myself, over and over, till finally someone attacked. i swear it was like my team was full of bots that were programmed not to get near flags.

IGI Badmarsh was getting abusive about my squads spawnraping at one point. that was just me, on my own, trying to cap the Observation Post. when enemy are spawning in over and over there was nothing i could do but try and shoot them before they shot me and watch the red meter go up and down, never down all the way :(

i had to resort to threatened to shoot SL's who wouldn't attack flags in the end, they were so ****. got a few moving a few dozen metres, but then the round ended so they never got a chance to vote me off when i started shooting them for cowardice in the face of the enemy

Yeah it's a problem I find in all conquest/AAS FPS's. Most people just aren't interested in capping flags. :( Not much that can be done about it. Most people prefer to run around and shoot people aimlessly.

I'll have a word with badmarsh but i'm sure you can appreciate how frustrating it is to get killed as soon as you spawn. I know what it's like though and as you say, it's a case of kill them before they kill you. There's not really such thing as spawn raping cappable bases IMO unless someone can prove nobody is making an effort to take it.

the only thing that can be gained with your server is adding admin controls to more trusted people to kick SL's and lonewolfs. Then two problems will be answered.

1) people will be forced to work together
2) people who can work together will be able to get in the full server as there is more chance of openings when the poor players are kicked off.

I like the idea in theory but in practice it's pretty much unworkable. For a start we don't have that many members in .:iGi:. who regularly play PR so we can't have admins on much. More importantly though, it's also a chore and difficult to work out who is a lone wolf and if they should be getting kicked for not playing as a team in a squad. Our admins don't want the hassle of alt-tabbing in and out every 5mins to kick lone wolfs who will more than likley just come back 10 seconds later or be replaced by other lone wolfs. :-|

If people are really that bothered about getting on our server they should join the .:iGi:. community. It would certainly open the doors to more focused team play as well for them as they would (hopefully) join us on TeamSpeak.

bans for 24hrs minimum after trying to talk to lonewolfs and squadleaders to hear their side of the story would be more appropriate than a simple kick. i'd never simply boot someone before asking them to respond. and i did think you had ingame admin rather than having to drop out

Yeah we use BF2CC. Very useful admin tool.

With regards to admin we do usually have admin on most evenings. I'm usually on myself although I have not played since friday. Should be on tonight though.

But as UGH said we don't have a huge amount of players on all the time. We are still recruiting for members to the clan. So if anyone feels they can be a good member to our clan and help to keep our top server going, please feel free to go to our forums at http://www.imgoingin.co.uk and post in the recuitment forum.

Cheers
Greg
