Faces on PR still annoy me, they're all the same more or less and you can practically count the polygons, can't we get some more variety and higher def. models?

Re: Face models
Cool, are your friends willing to donate a whole slew of new player models too?jaawol wrote:Faces on PR still annoy me, they're all the same more or less and you can practically count the polygons, can't we get some more variety and higher def. models? I dunno what modelling tools the devs use but I know a few guys who'd be happy to donate some face/head models from ''Sculptris'' if it's compatable.
We'll need six individual player models for each faction.
Thanks.
Otherwise, you can contact DICE directly about the quality of their work.

Re: Face models
No need for sarcasm... wait, no, we're on an internet forum aren't we...
All I'm saying is that Dice released BF2 5 years ago, the PR Dev team have changed almost every other aspect of the game, why not this?
To be honest there isn't much wrong with Project reality now that isn't caused by BF2 hardcoding so all that's left now is aesthetics 'til PR2 is released and we have a whole new game to ***** about for a while.

Re: Face models
Um, because the time needed to do new player models is just too much for us to commit to. We have many more projects that we are working on that are more important than player models.
If you are willing to do what Read asked then you can have your new face models.

Re: Face models
the problem is that there is currently no known way to get custom soldier models have facial expressions.
another reason is the workload. it already takes a good amount of work to make custom kits for the factions and those things are in the end not really important for the gameplay, while others like the CSB bridges will change the gameplay.
i hope that clears it up for you

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
