right, i've downloaded the client (1/2) many times now and each time i get a corrupt file from the download (every time!) and then cannot play the game... and installing 1.41 was hell. This happened before and i managed to salvage the missing file with one from a previous installation of pr. i have since had a spring clean aka fresh install.
ok to the point it's the file mods/pr/objects/soldier_client.zip
would anyone please upload for me?

Your install should proceed in this order (From a clean install, meaning nothing is installed pertaining to BF2):
Install BF2.
Restart Computer.
Install BF2 patch 1.41, this can take some time.
Restart computer.
Install BF2 patch 1.5, this usually takes less time than 1.41
Restart computer.
Install PR .917 Full Install part 1
Install PR .917 Full Install part 2.
Restart computer.
Enjoy!
If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, you don't need to restart. Windows XP requires the restarts to deal with certain...issues pertaining to the registry.
From your post, I'm not sure if you installed BF2 1.5, and this is required for PR now.

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

And if that doesn't work ^ you'll probably need to download the client again, but this time download it via bittorrent, to prevent corruption.

Re: Can anyone help a man in despair?!
I know how to install it, that's not the problem...
The funny thing is that i've downloaded it from fileplanet, and bittorrent... I don't get why it's being corrupted.
one time it was client.zip in xpack, last time it was server.con or something corrupt and I was being randomly kicked by pb, not it's this one... I've done a fresh install mainly for this.
I'm sure that solders_client.zip is only a small file compared to the 2gb i've got on download again.
thanks for reviewing my dilemma.

Just because you get PB kicked for a corrupt file that doesn't necessarily mean the file is corrupt. I probably get this every 10 games or so, but I just ignore it and rejoin whatever server I'd been playing on. Just make sure your PB client is up to date, if you're having problems with PB there are loads of threads in the support section you can refer to.
