So I got a new laptop for heading off to college, and want to jump BF2 and PR over. One sticky issue. I cannot for the life of me find the BF2 CD. Guess the 1.5 patch was too good to be true and I have misplaced it after not using it for awhile.
I still have my CD key and everything on a notepad file, so I just need to jump the main BF2 components over to the laptop.
Any ideas on how to do this? I was thinking making an image since I have the full game on my home compy. Cant just move files over because the key has to go into registry. Im stumped. If someone could offer some ideas that would be great. Not the most intellectual for making images so if we go that route, please explain.
Thanks!

Would it matter if you downloaded the core game files online somewhere and use your CD-key?
I don't think it would be illegal unless you are somehow getting around buying the game, because without a CD-key you can't play.
But since you have yours, and you bought it... then this method should be ok.

Yea think I'm gonna follow that. After tearing my house apart looking for the CD, I still am struck as to where I could have put this thing. I feel like I've seen it just laying around, but now it doesn't want to show its face. Thought once I wrote down the CD key and stuff in a notepad doc I would be safe for the future. Nope.
Thanks for the input rat.

Ok, well I found my CD. Turns out a friend had it after we forgot it was in his disk drive about 3 months ago.
Just having some issues with pr.exe booting, says its stopped working for windows 7. I'm sure I can find a solution in the support forums.
**EDIT: Yup fixed
All good for PR in college.
