Ccharge wrote:Your in luck friend, I used to run PR with almost the same computer as you . I can tell you now, that the GT220 can more then handle PR on almost full. The thing that would help you though, is a little bit more ram, as I had found before that on certian maps 2 GB just isnt enough (Thats why I upgraded).
Edit: Lol i posted to late.
Flight sim X: quite well, still the Ram would help a hell of alot, to bad you can only get two gb.
BF2: Full, for sure.
PR: Fullish, will get lag issues on certian maps.
Arma: Fullish depending on the amount of AI.
AA2: Full for sure.
AA3: Not sure, most likely meduim / high.
Cod 4: Most likely high.
And i sure hope you mean GT220
yeah Thats good!
Yeah its exactly a ZOTAC 1GB GeForce GT220
err, did you just compare your low end compy to alienware???
alien ware can be considered high end....of course they cost a lot more than building your own computer

lmfao yep!!!
I'm gonna get an infraction for that comment lmfao
Honestly, I don't recommend anything lower than a GeForce 9800GT to my friends who want to upgrade. You can find some 1GB models for under $100. I found a PNY brand card just now thats $89.99 after rebate. So, if you have a six-pin PCI Express power cable on your PSU, a 1GB 9800GT is my recommendation. And, if your motherboard and power supply supports it, you can always get another card for SLI.
my prebuilt compy has integrated geforce 9100 (lol!)
i can run pr on all low, 2xaa, and full view distance and get very smooth gameplay, i used to run with half the settings on medium but i kept getting lag spikes
thank god i have a brand new compy i just built with very high specs

I used to run it the same way, With fps lag! :O
I dunno how I survived!!
But apparently I can Run PR now with high GFXS
I hope so.
Oh btw One problem I have, is long long long loading time to get into a server.
Will having more RAM fix that?
whatshisname55 wrote:hm, i have 4 gigs of ram, and just recently cleaned my compy, but my load times are still long
it can take up to a few mins to load a map
heh, i cant wait to see how fast it loads once i overclock......then sometime in the future ill also be doubling my 6gb ram to get 12gb, probably load a map instantly
so what kind of psu are you getting? and i forgot, did you say if you were planning to SLI in the future?

Im getting a 465W PSU Its only 60 Its a steal really
I have no idea what SLI means lmfao
yea SLI is two or more GPUs, i guess since you dont know what it is i was just seeing things
CrossfireX is the ATI version, but still the same thing for ATI cards

My 600w Modular costed $30 on sale. Plus it was OCZ and made for performance, so that really is a better steal lol. Plus with 456w, I don't think you'll be doing SLI.

i don't think so either. I know that my current card is a chipset, si Idk if that will stay in there or get taken out?
did you mean integrated?
if so, im not entirely sure how that works when you put in a GPU (i think it deactivates itself maybe) but you cant use integrated graphics with a separate GPU

I hear ya.
I don't care to much for it anyway. Its a piece of ****.
Only good thing about it is its memory, which is 128MB which is still ****
