I'm just wondering and since there is no questions section in the forums - here I go.
M82A1 chambered in .416
98 Bravo in .338 / .388
M4 - .50 cal mod (Its called Beuwolf or something, its an upper receiver that allows your M4 variant to shoot .50 - I think)
M95 chambered in .50 BMG
M99 chambered in .50 BMG
G82 - I think its a German M82A1 thats modified and better than the Model 82A1 thats being made by Barrett.

I'm just wondering if any of these are actually in being utilized in the war. Since I am not running the streets of Iraq with a gun and I understand people here are, I thought this might be a one stop place to find out.
Are any of these guns in service atm?

The absolute ridiculesness of an M4 that fires 50cal rounds pretty much should answer the question whether its fielded by any armies.

the wacked out navy seal on Future Weapons showcased it. the Mod is called Beowolf and it fires a .50 round. the magazine only holds like 10 rounds, but its just so badass. theres also a Grendel mod that converts it to 7.5(best of 5.56 and 7.62)charliegrs wrote:The absolute ridiculesness of an M4 that fires 50cal rounds pretty much should answer the question whether its fielded by any armies.

Its a .50 Beowolf not .50 BMG there is a difference. And I could see this weapon being fielded by US Forces on checkpoint duty overseas.charliegrs wrote:The absolute ridiculesness of an M4 that fires 50cal rounds pretty much should answer the question whether its fielded by any armies.

.50 Beowulf - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (its wiki but still good info)
I also remember watching the military channel on a Blackwater special mentioning it.... Also in Licensed to Kill by Robert Pelton they mention of a guy who always had it with him. IDK what that means but.... It was in Iraq IDK if used but was there.
I bet the US Army has some in their inventory though.

It is a M82A1, but with a Zeiss scope.
G82 is just its designation in the german army, like M82 is the designation in the US forces.

Yeah, but an idiot would also know that you need an "an" before a word with a vowel. For more information about this mysterious indefinite article please visit this site Purdue OWL and English articles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .Indistinct0 wrote:... Also, be nice and respectful to other posters.
This thread is locked, please remember that this section of the forums is for Project Reality discussion, not your questions on military technology and weapons. For that refer to the military technology section of the forums.
