Quick question: I recall the results of that poll for larger tank crews being positive, and it was a poll made by Fortnight. Is this still going to be a feature and will we see it as early as 0.4?

The 0401 test build has:

3 crew tanks
- gunner
- driver
- cupola gunner

6 crew APCs
- gunner
- driver
- 4 passengers

7 crew transport helos
- 1 pilot
- 6 passengers

Seems to be working ok, couple bugs on the helo iirc, but should be fairly simnple to resolve. So yeah, this will be in v0.4

Awesome! Bring on the teamwork!

It always made sense to me to have the APCs with 6 seats, and transport choppers being able to take whole squads with a dedicated pilot is even better. Now one man tankers/APCers should be a thing of the past and if they want to dominate the battlefield, they're gonna have to work a little harder then just riding around gunning stuff down, either that or sit right in the middle of the Battlefield while they target up. :)

Great news, now i'm even more excited about it. :D

awesome update...one question though. sorry if this irritates you but I gotta know :D whats the status on thos efx sounds?!? will we some in the .4 release. like basic ones i.e. gunshots, explosions, etc

0.4 will not be released without the EFX sounds.

Additionally 2Slick and Sofad have been working on other sound enhancements :)

the models look fantastic! the changes too! can't wait... you guys are the best

just one quick question: will there be a delay when changing from driver to gunner position? because if it is the instant position change like it is now when u change positions in a vehicle, i'm afraid there will be lonewolves driving apcs/tanks alone and when spotting an enemy, changing to gunner position and killing him.. heh

Will that include the removal of the silenced pistol sound from the Mk12(i believe that's the name of the rifle, it's 2am, and I'm kinda going insomniac)?

Yeah looks great. Excellent work guys. Those Brit models look so much better than the standard BF2 ones. Can't wait for the kit limiting to come in.

Don't know about you luiz, but I have no problem with tanks that have to sit still like sitting ducks while they're shooting at me, especially now we've got Light AT as well.

Soldier 1: "Hey look, that dumbass lonewolf tank driver's trying to shoot people alone again!"
Soldier 2: "Awesome! Let's wait for him to stop and try out these awesome new AT missiles!"

And just imagine the C4 ambushes! Pretty simple to take out a tank if it can't move...


And yeah, about the weapon sounds, I don't know if it's planned or not, but I really hope the SPR loses the silencer so it can fully take advantage of the beautiful new sounds. :(
