Re: GIS+ ASIAN INVASION!
Very, very nice idea
:

And I think you all (next time including me) just could've joined an empty PR-Mumble Channel to have fun. You don't need special right's to move in channels and you just had to move to another channel if someone of that channel wanted to be there alone. That should've been no problem, I think.+ will try to make some slot reserves (64) for all player wich r on the servere at the start,

That sounds reasonable, but still I would expect any event featuring mumble to not impose the threat of moving 64 players around in mumblespace. I mean...you're not gonna have a football game in "the big arena over there" and then relocate all attendants in case "someone wants to use his arena in some other way" during the game
Greetings to the GIS+ team btw. Great event!

Re: GIS+ ASIAN INVASION!
As part of [KSK] I want to say thank you for hosting this great event, we had awesome rounds, outstanding teamplay and purposeful voice communication with rarely seen radio discipline at so many players on our side in Teamspeak.
During the third round (Qwai) some people left from the opponent side and as we noticed in TS that it might become unbalanced the whole team slowed down and a Squad from GIS+ switched.
I`m looking forward to the next GIS+ event and hopefully there will be a channel on the PR 0.5 mumble-server, I am sure that expirience will give us the creeps like elephant pimples.

hey skulls,Skull wrote:all i can say is that the event was pretty fail for me
the skirmish was fun
the next round started good with about 50-50 of the gis players (which were the only ones beside me and some few random guys on ts and besides over 50% of the players) but after a while the stacking began. at the end of the round there were pretty much the good clans on one side (us $: as in USA) and the bad ones on the other. im not only refering to the kd stats (one sq had 19-60) also to some things as defending flags that are not in play, going solo with a hat kit against an apc and 1,5 (at least) squads of inf and the fact that 5/7 of the firebases that were built were by me/the sq i was leading
but the WAY WORST thing was at the beginning of the next round: we tried to rush, got owned, np with that. then i looked on the map: 5 people left the base. about 5 more were at base. then i looked on the scoreboard and saw that it was basically GIS vs the rest, the chinese team were over 15 gis players. $: i could add that there were exactly 3 gis players on the side that lost the last map.
the gis guys themselves are pretty nice, though you cant do something like that when hosting an event, you have to try to balance it and partly switch to the "losers" side, which didnt happen.
and thats the reason why i definitly never will play a gis event again, most likely just because what i saw when i looked on the scoreboard...

i'm sorry for you and can understand your critics, the big advantage of ''the other team'' was the huge number of ts users and therefor the better communication. in the ''non gis team'' were mostly clans too so the balance was given but the communication was fail. as one of the hosts i have to say its hard to force 20 people to get on the ts server, you should have noticed that we tried several times but no one came.
so we learned some stuff and next time we are going to do things different
1. have a mumble-channel
2. pw on the server
3. mumble/ts is requested to join
4. we offer a commander and one following squad for both teams
5. reserve slots
i hope i will see you again on one of our events its was fun to be one of your sq-members although we got an asskick. just could get better
regards gerth
btw after you left the server a gis squad changed to our team and supported us...
