Flags on Maps Disappear

This just started happening today: after I have been in a server for more than one round, the flag icons on my squad map and regular map disappear, sometimes they only disappear when my team has captured it, but sometimes all the flags disappear. I had reinstalled PR and BF2 a couple days ago to fix a CD key error. I have also reinstalled PR twice, and BF2 once since this problem occurred. Another strange thing was that when I reinstalled BF2 and PR, in the first round I played the squad leader numbers and attack markers on my HUD were much larger than they should have been, but disconnecting and then reloading the map fixed that problem. I do not know what could have caused this problem, I have not done anything different than usual, it just seems to have happened randomly.
Is there any other info you need? Shall I post my specs?

I've had that happen maybe two times on Windows 7 as well. Neutral flags did work though. Whenever it occurs, a restart of BF2 fixes it for me.

Yeah, icons sometimes show bigger than they are, but it's pretty rare. Don't recall the last time I had that, was ages ago .

Well just reloading the map fixes it, but it comes back after one round. Is there any way to fix this so that I don't have to reload every round?

Wow, after getting off and sleeping a night, I got back on yesterday and not one round did that happen to me again. It seems that exiting and then running the game again fixed it! Though it's odd that the reinstall didn't fix it since I did basically the same thing throughout the install.
