My reason being I want the tarmac detail texture so I can modify it a bit then use it as my secondary texture on my road template in my map. If this can actually be done, but i'd like to try. Anyways hit me in the head if it's obvious or been discussed before thanks

[?] Bf2 editor default texture directory?
I'm gonna feel like an idiot when someone tells me that it's like the most obvious place. But i was wondering what the directory for the default BF2 editor textures would be.. I can't seem to find them even though I've searched and searched.

It might still be zipped though. Try opening "common_client.zip", then click Terrain \ Textures \ Detail. There you'll see the tarmac textures.
