Re: Next release version will be v0.95 instead of v0.92
could any dev please answer my question :s
i mean are we talking about weeks, 2 months, more months??
i was pretty pissed after a month and a half of waiting after that "not so far away" news. didnt like that at all. i know you cant atm say then and then, but you must ahve some kind of a plan when youre going to bring it out. if you say in 2 months everyone would be fine, still you could bring it out in one month.
and now please dont say something like "within a year", that would just be making fun of me

"Not so far away" is vague, you shouldn't expect any time frame from it.Skull wrote:i was pretty pissed after a month and a half of waiting after that "not so far away" news. didnt like that at all.
They can release whenever they want.

Re: Next release version will be v0.95 instead of v0.92
We need to enforce more our rule to NOT say anything that gives a HINT of a release date...
The initial plan was to have 0.92 released already, but there's no way to predict everything that happens. From bugs, to new assets coming in, to development taking longer than we thought.
We are all volunteers here, so sometimes you can give more time one week, but you can't the other, so things get pushed and we don't blame anybody for that, it's not how we roll, we just continue working when we can.
I hope everybody can understand that.
We won't give you an estimate of how long it will take for release, we are only sure when we get the build ready and then it takes a week or so to get everything in motion for release and you get the release date news post.

As dbzao said, all the devs are volunteers... if there is problems (And there always is) the release gets pushed back... the team is not gonna pull their hair out going mad to make a release date, its happened in the past and just results in alot of burnt out volunteer devs... they do this cuz they love it, and when you gotta take time off your RL job to finish PR work, you know thats when its gone too far...

Your signature fits your post. The kid is the community and the soldier is the devs.Dev1200 wrote:Dedicated Devs, We love =)

Re: Next release version will be v0.95 instead of v0.92
was never my intention to blame anyone, im sorry if i was misunderstood. i just think the devs are pretty mature and even more not profit orientated - unlike many companies producing pretty bad shooters atm -, so its just lame to say "not so far patch". the devs dont owe us anything. still they dont have to persuade people to play the game and thats exactly what such news make me think. i like those highsteel reels a lot, never wouldve thought about the actual release date though.
i hope i kinda could make my point, again sorry if anyone felt offended, its just my opinion and i hope that does - most likely just a little, but nevertheless something - mean something for the devs.
regards, skull

It seems like the community is becoming more mature, cuz we went from WTF to BTW skipping ZZZ and even, even LOL, maybe we will skip OMG too
There was some flaming and QQing, but it wasnt about the upcoming patch, just some stuff about PR in general.

The maturity of the community depends how much info the DEVS give about a release-date.Nebsif wrote:It seems like the community is becoming more mature, cuz we went from WTF to BTW skipping ZZZ and even, even LOL, maybe we will skip OMG too
